The front has been completely redesigned. The engines, cooling systems, and fuel tanks are now even more compact under the revamped bonnet.  Thanks in part to the new geometry of the front axle frame, a steering lock angle of up to 60° is possible. In combination with the shortest wheelbases in their class, this makes the new specialist tractors from DEUTZ-FAHR the most agile on the market – and they are also the most innovative with a variety of technical highlights, such as independent suspension on the front axle, highly efficient FARMotion engines, 40 km/h ECO PowerShift transmission and diverse hydraulic options. These models offer an output of  75 HP and equipment options ranging from high-tech to economical, DEUTZ-FAHR presents the widest choice of models in this class.     FARMOTION ENGINES. MAXIMUM EFFICIENCY IN A COMPACT UNIT.

    Hard at work under the newly designed bonnet are extremely compact three- and four-cylinder FARMotion engines. Specially developed for agricultural applications, these common rail engines feature electronic injection with a pressure of 2,000 bar, a new valve concept, enlarged cylinders, a new crankshaft design, an electronic exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) management system, and a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) system – all of which means they deliver maximum performance and constant torque even at low engine speeds. Fuel consumption, emissions, vibrations, and noise have been minimized. Other new features include a compact cooling system with an enlarged cooling surface, an intercooler, a fuel cooling system, an air-conditioning condenser, optimized airflow, and a Powercore air filter with dust removal. Both systems support engine efficiency and are designed for long maintenance intervals as well as fast, straightforward service work. The fuel tank is built into the front axle block and can be filled without opening the bonnet. It contains no less than 55 litres. For extra fuel capacity, an additional tank can be included below the driver’s platform, holding 40 liters (5DF mo-dels) or 30 liters (5DS and 5DV models).

    MAXIMUM GEAR RANGE. HOWEVER YOU CHANGE GEAR, 40 KM/H ECO IS ALWAYS POSSIBLE.

    The transmission systems of the new DEUTZ-FAHR specialist tractors have also been specially developed to meet the high demands of modern agricultural businesses. Efficiency, versatility, and equipment flexibility were the most important criteria here. The three-stage PowerShift transmission with five gears is unique in this tractor class. It provides up to 45 forward and 45 reverse gears. For greater driver comfort, gear changes can be carried out at the push of a button on the gear shift lever without any need to depress the clutch. The Stop&Go system for convenient starting and stopping without using the clutch pedal comes as standard in all models featuring PowerShuttle. Choose the transmission system that provides a perfect fit for your work profile and comfort needs. For the 5DS, 5DV, and 5DF models, a mechanical five-speed transmission is available with up to 30 forward and 15 reverse gears. The 5DF Ecoline models are fitted with this system as standard. A speed of 40 km/h ECO can be achieved with all models using any tires. The ‘overspeed’ concept vastly reduces fuel consumption and noise levels during transport operations. Maximum efficiency and optimal driver comfort are the results.

    HIGH POWER WHEN IT IS NEEDED.

    The choice of PTO functions is also highly varied. Rear 540 PTO is fitted as standard but in addition is also available a 3-speed rear PTO 540, 540 ECO, and 1000 (not available for Ecoline models). The PTO is activated using a button and electro-hydraulic controls (mechanical engagement for Ecoline models). This guarantees a smooth start without jerks.

    TRIPLE INDIVIDUALITY: ATTACHMENT AREAS AT THE FRONT, IN THE MIDDLE AND AT THE REAR.

    From vineyards to orchards, from tilling the land to tending and harvesting crops, and from municipal winter service to road and site maintenance – versatility and adaptability are a strength of the new DEUTZ-FAHR specialist tractors. With a 2,600 kg lift capacity at the rear (model 5DF: max. 2,800 kg) and 1,500 kg at the front, all possible combinations of equipment can be easily moved. The rear power lift can be electronically controlled if desired. The standard pump capacity is 54 l/min for three control valves at the rear. An optional 64 l/min tandem pump is available for the parallel operation of a rear power lift and up to five control valves at the front and rear. The 5DF Ecoline models are fitted with a 42 l/min pump and three control valves at the rear. In order to ensure that the hydraulics fully match your operating profile, DEUTZ-FAHR offers five defined hydraulic packages that range from basic to high-tech. External operation of the rear lift from the wing makes attaching work equipment a safe and straightforward procedure.

    MAXIMUM COMFORT ON EVERY TERRAIN.

    The new DEUTZ-FAHR front axle concept is unique for specialist tractors, making it a real highlight. Independent wheel suspension with a double wishbone design allows each front wheel to move vertically to a different extent. This results in maximum suspension in all operating scenarios. The spring stroke of each wheel is controlled by an adaptive electro-hydraulic system, ensuring that the wheel contact patch always touches the ground fully. The differential traction control (DTC) system constantly monitors wheel revolutions and always applies torque to the wheel during maximum ground contact. Furthermore, this innovative control system in DEUTZ-FAHR specialist tractors also features a roll and directional stabilization function. Roll stabilization prevents undesirable diving of the front axle and subsequent shifts in load when braking, while directional stability stops the vehicle from rocking when it corners or turns. The slim geometry of the front axle frame allows a steering lock angle of up to 60°. The turning radius has been reduced by 10% to three meters on average. A hydraulic four-wheel brake comes as standard, and an automatic electro-hydraulic engagement of the four-wheel drive and 100% differential lock is optionally available. All of this means that the innovative front axle concept guarantees maximum wheel grip, traction, stability, and safety for all ground conditions – both on and off the road.

    DEUTZ-FAHR COMFORT CAB. FOR THE BEST POSSIBLE PERSPECTIVES AT WORK.

    Cab comfort has not been a mere luxury for specialist tractors for some time. A more pleasant working environment means less severe environmental factors such as cold, heat, dust, crop protection agents and noise – and longer periods of concentration and performance for the driver. The four-post cab of the new specialist tractors meets the highest DEUTZ-FAHR standards. Maximum visibility in every direction, covering all areas relevant to work and safety, is ensured by the one-piece windscreen and all-around glazing. Outside, the cab is compact and slim. There are no sharp edges that could damage crops. Inside, a cutting-edge design and high-quality, light materials create a positive atmosphere. The interior is calm and peaceful. With numerous noise-absorbing elements and other technical details, the engineers at DEUTZ-FAHR have succeeded in minimising noise inside the cab. The air conditioning system is powerful, and the air distribution absolutely even. Seven adjustable ventilation nozzles keep the driver’s preferred temperature constant in all parts of the cab at all times. There are new seat options for the driver, including a choice of six versions with different suspension concepts, materials and settings.
