The SDF 1000 Serie engines mounted on the Agrofarm 5 range are designed to work tirelessly for thousands of hours, with low operating costs and reduced service times.
The 4-cylinder engines, all of which are liquid-cooled and available in naturally aspirated or turbocharged versions, are designed and built to be sturdy, and reliable with generous power delivery.
Advanced technical solutions such as the high-pressure fuel injection system (up to 1200 bar at the injectors) ensure a fast response to load variations.
The enhanced rigidity of the monobloc engine reduces noise, while the special design of the piston combustion chambers makes for lower fuel consumption.
Low noise levels are ensured by the low-revving engine, resulting in less mechanical strain, and reduced wear and vibration.
A modular transmission for tailored performance.
The Agrofarm 5 transmission stands out due to its "modular concept," which allows users to find the ideal solution for their specific needs, ranging from basic to professional options.
This advanced transmission is available with either 4 or 5 speeds across 4 different ranges, including a super-creeper range. It features a mechanical or hydraulic shuttle and offers a choice of 16 forward and 16 reverse speeds. With the 5-speed gearbox, it can provide 20 forward and 20 reverse speeds, and by adding the Hi-Lo module, users can access up to 40 forward and 40 reverse speeds. This extensive range of ratios makes it suitable for a wide variety of tasks.
Additionally, the Agrofarm 5 offers a Powershuttle hydraulic reverse, which includes five adjustable settings. This allows drivers to set and maintain a desired reactivity for direction change manoeuvres without the need for the clutch. As a result, working with a front loader and general manoeuvres becomes significantly easier.
The Powershuttle versions also come equipped with the "ComfortClutch," a convenient electronic clutch control located on the gear lever. By simply pressing the ComfortClutch button, users can select main gears and choose from up to 10 different ratios without needing to use the clutch pedal.
Optimized power
The versatility of a tractor is also determined by its ability to optimize the performance of implements driven by the power take-off (PTO). The Agrofarm 5 features two PTO speed options: 540-1000 RPM or 540-540 RPM Eco. It is equipped with a wet multi-plate clutch that has hydraulic servo control and a removable shaft to ensure that full power is delivered with maximum reliability.
The benefits of this design are evident when using a rotary cultivator in heavy clay soils, allowing for enhanced productivity while reducing fuel consumption when working with haymaking implements.
For transporting on slopes, the Agrofarm 5 also includes a ground-speed synchronized PTO with an independent output shaft, making it ideal for use with pickup trailers that have driving axles or muck spreaders equipped with driving wheels.
Advanced hydraulics for precision control.
The hydraulic lift provides precise control over position, draft, and intermix for all mounted implements. Hydraulic flow rates can be adjusted to meet the machinery's requirements, and the six-way remote control valves allow for accurate management of hydraulic implements.
To streamline the hitching process for implements, the 3-point linkage features automatic couplers at the end of the link arm, along with EasyLift control to enhance operator comfort. Additionally, a double pump can deliver up to 68 litres per minute to the spool valve and rear lift.
Superior traction and safety
On hillsides and challenging terrains, the Agrofarm 5 operates under optimal conditions for grip and safety. Its high ground clearance, balanced weight distribution, and efficient front-wheel drive, coupled with oil-immersed disc brakes (in the 40 kph version), ensure high productivity along with reliable braking efficiency, even when using heavy-mounted implements.
The parking brake, located in the transmission, is fully independent of the service brakes. For heavy transport tasks, an optional hydraulic trailer braking system is available.
For steering, an independent pump provides effortless manoeuvrability, even at low engine speeds. This same circuit also supplies forced lubrication to the transmission, ensuring operational safety, especially on steep slopes.
Ergonomic design for a redefined comfort.
Choosing the DEUTZ-FAHR Agrofarm 5 means opting for a tractor that provides a practical and comfortable working environment. The Agrofarm 5 features an ergonomic platform designed for maximum usability and ease of operation.
Key features include an adjustable steering wheel, a suspended seat, a new right console, and a sunroof, all of which significantly enhance operating comfort. Optional special front deflectors also improve acoustic and thermal insulation.
Additionally, front and rear working lights can be installed for enhanced safety during evening or nighttime work.
