Made in Germany, the Series 6 stands out for its superior reliability, comfort and low operating costs. The family's models – from 6160 Powershift to 6230 TTV HD – are equipped with the tried-and-true TCD 6.1 engine with maximum power and torque of up to 230 HP and 970 Nm. The tractors can be equipped with basic Powershift, fully automatic shifting RCshift or advanced stepless TTV transmissions with unprecedented smoothness and ride comfort. As a distinctive advantage, the 6210 TTV, 6230 TTV, and 6230 TTV HD offer the option of impressive 60 kph maximum speed, setting them apart from the competition.

Peak power with low maintenance requirements.
Series 6 six cylinder tractors are equipped with water-cooled, single turbocharged TCD engines. The updated TCD 6.1 engines guarantee increased performance at even lower rpm, with tangible improvements in both torque curve and elasticity. All in all resulting in a smoother and more effective operation. In addition, with almost all the maximum torque available at just 1000 rpm, these tractors can tackle most tasks at low engine speeds, thereby ensuring significant fuel savings. Furthermore, completely new fuel tanks have been developed for all models. Combined with low fuel consumption and a capacity of up to 505 liters (on 6230 TTV HD), extremely long operating times are possible.
The use of cutting-edge manufacturing techniques has enabled the production of engines characterised by extremely precise manufacturing tolerances. As a result, the engine oil change interval for the Series 6 tractors has been extended to 1000 operating hours (or 2 years).

At DEUTZ-FAHR, we believe that you know best which transmission variant suits your needs. That's why we offer three transmission variants for the 6 Series: Powershift, RCshift and TTV. All three offer simple operation, high efficiency and exceptional driving comfort.
Drive your implements with maximum efficiency.
Unique in the market is the DualSpeed front PTO. With the DualSpeed option, 1000 and 1000 ECO PTO speeds can be changed from inside the cab in the InfoCentrePro. This allows maximum operating efficiency at all times and means that it is possible to operate with 1000 PTO or 1000 ECO PTO in the front and the rear. This results in significant reduced fuel consumption, less wear of the moving parts and low noise in the cab due to the right PTO speed depending on field conditions.
At the rear, four PTO speeds 540/540ECO/1000/1000ECO are in standard equipment for the Powershift and RCshift models as well as TTV models up to 190 hp. The TTV models from 6190 TTV - 6230 TTV HD offer three PTO speeds. All models offer maximum versatility and the highest performance when using different equipment. To quickly and efficiently adapt the tractor to any implement, all models fit the very useful removable PTO output shaft as standard.
Unlock full potential with the modular hydraulic system of Series 6.
One of the design targets for the development of the Series 6 was maximum versatility for efficient pairing with the widest range of implements. For the hydraulics, there is a choice between mechanical and electro-hydraulic controls and up to five hydraulic valves in the rear and two in the front in addition to the control of front linkage. The optional Load Sensing hydraulic pump output reaches up to 210 l/min while the rear lift capacity is up to 10 t. The front linkage system of the 6 Series range is available in four variants. 6160.4 - 6180 have a maximum capacity of 4110 kg while 5450 kg are possible on the 6190, 6210 and 6230 models. In addition an efficient front lift version with 3800 kg capacity is available for all models. The brand-new load relief control for the front linkage can be equipped for the first time in the TTV models up to 6180 TTV. Thanks to the new option, the contact pressure of the front implement can be adjusted and the weight can be transferred to the front axle in all situations. This means that there is always sufficient grip available and the sensitive ground as well as the machine is reliably protected. The pressure is infinitely adjustable from 1 - 100 bar even during operation.
Achieving safety and superlative comfort.
In order to be productive, the operator must have maximum control of the vehicle, both in the field and on the road, whether at high speeds or on bumpy terrain. While working with the 6 Series you can feel the machinery's high level of safety. The intelligent and adaptive suspension system gives the 6 Series maximum stability – both during heavy towing operations and when driving large loads. The 6 Series above 200 hp is the only tractor in the range that can be fitted with high performance dry disc brakes on the front axle. These brakes guarantee maximum braking precision and a long service life. The booster brake system in standard equipment ensures maximum braking performance with lighter pedal pressure. Best flexibility ensures the DualMode hydraulic trailer brake system and for increased safety the pneumatic trailer brakes of the new 6 Series TTV are equipped with aTBM – advanced trailer brake management system, which increases the braking performance of the tractor-trailer combination in harsh braking situations.

Powershift transmission
Pure driving pleasure.
The Powershift transmission offers pure driving pleasure with 5 mechanical range gears being shifted with a classic gear lever. The six Powershift steps can be either selected manually or with the optional automatic Powershift (APS). This option increases driving comfort because the electronic control unit aids the driver in selecting and automatically switching the gears inside the Powershift range.
RCshift transmission
From fully automatic shifts to customizable driving modes.
The RCshift transmission can shift fully automatically without operating the clutch pedal and includes always the MaxCom joystick. Five robotized gears and six Powershift stages provide 30 speeds when moving forward and 15 in reverse. With the creeper, the amount increases to 54 + 27 gears. The RCshift transmission offers three driving modes:
- Manual: the driver selects the range gears and Powershift stages manually
- Semi-Auto: the driver selects the range gears and the system automatically selects the Powershift stages
- Auto: the system automatically selects the range gears and Powershift stages.
TTV transmission
Stepless transmission technology for ultimate performance.
The TTV transmission delivers uniform and seamlessly smooth power in all conditions without jolting and stands for low fuel consumption and extreme tractive power. It combines unbeatable mechanical strength with weight-saving solutions used for moving parts in particular, which minimise inertia and allow the tractor to attain extremely high levels of efficiency. All of this translates to a substantial increase in effectively transmitted torque to the wheels and a distinct improvement in draft capacity. The TTV transmission features four driving modes: Auto, Advanced Auto, PTO and Manual, to offer the ideal solution for any task. A handy dial lets the operator select between ECO mode, which minimises fuel consumption, and Power mode, which maximises tractor performance.
All versions come with the PowerZero function as standard, which maximizes safety and comfort even on steep gradients. The function holds the vehicle securely in a stationary position without requiring the operator to use the brake or clutch pedal. A further advantage of the TTV transmissions is the ability to travel at high speeds while the engine runs quitly at low speeds. The TTV transmissions in the tractors with more than 200 hp can reach a top speed of 60 km/h at an engine speed of just 1800 rpm, while 40 km/h is possible at an incredibly low engine speed of around 1200 rpm.

MaxiVision
Everything you need.
The entry-level MaxiVision cab comes with mechanical rear controls and is available for Powershift and RCshift transmission variants. It offers all the functions the driver expects from DEUTZ-FAHR, with a mixture of simplicity and user-friendliness. All of the controls feature a comfortable and ergonomic layout and, in keeping with the DEUTZ-FAHR tradition, adopt the colour coding scheme so that even new drivers can quickly find their way around.
MaxiVision+
Your addition on comfort.
In order to offer farmers and contractors exactly what they need, DEUTZ-FAHR has further developed its MaxiVision cab and added a new variant that allows the driver to work smarter and faster with more comfort and ergonomics. MaxiVision+ is available for all transmission variants and includes the newly developed mixed rear hydraulic configuration, which contains two mechanical and two electro-hydraulic spool valves. While the mechanical control valves are easy to operate, the electronic ones are extremely convenient, especially for repetitive work processes.
MaxiVisionPro
The best you can get.
The highest level of the MaxiVision cab sets the benchmark in terms of ergonomics and unleashes advanced features and functions in terms of automation, smart farming capabilities and full connectivity. MaxiVisionPro is the premium level available on models with RCshift and TTV transmissions. With this equipment, the operator gets the advantage of fully electronically controlled spool valves and the possibility to install the optional 12-inch iMonitor on the MaxCom armrest. Thanks to the size and the new and easy to operate H5 software, the iMonitor is ideal for parallel work with an ISOBUS implement or the guidance system. The ergonomic MaxCom armrest hosts all the controls the operator needs during the workday for transmission, hydraulics, PTO, lifts and other perfectly integrated tractor functions.
