The FARMotion 45 engine is meticulously engineered to provide optimum power output and seamless performance, even in the most challenging conditions.
Thanks to this engine, you will experience superior traction and pull, making light work of heavy loads. The many excellent technical features include the turbocharger equipped with VTG variable geometry, the electronically-controlled viscostatic fan, a cutting-edge exhaust after-treatment package (with maintenance-free DOC catalytic converter), the passive-type particulate filter (which offers faster regeneration than conventional filters, without need for additional diesel injection) and a latest-generation SCR catalytic converter - all designed to reduce diesel and AdBlue consumption at a minimum, meeting Stage V regulation requirements. Not only do these extraordinary engines deliver a maximum torque ranging from 577 Nm on the 6130.4 to 663 Nm on the 6150.4 with TTV or RVshift transmission - they also significantly boost performance at lower engine speeds, with increases in torque and elasticity. With almost all of the maximum torque already available at 1000 rpm, these tractors enable the operator to perform all tasks while keeping the engine speed as low as possible; this saves diesel while reducing noise and wear.

Where Power and Efficiency Converge.

The 6160.4 and 6170.4 are powered by TCD 4.1 engines. TCD Stage V four-cylinder engines guarantee high performance at low engine speeds with maximum efficiency in the partial load range as well as at full load. Furthermore, completely new fuel tanks have been developed. Combined with low fuel consumption and a capacity of 300 liters, extremely long operating times are possible.
The use of cutting-edge manufacturing techniques has enabled the production of engines characterised by extremely precise manufacturing tolerances. As a result, the engine oil change interval has been extended to 1000 operating hours (or 2 years). 

Pure driving pleasure.

The Powershift transmission offers pure driving pleasure with 5 mechanical range gears being shifted with a classic gear lever. The six Powershift steps can be either selected manually or with the optional automatic Powershift (APS). This option increases driving comfort because the electronic control unit aids the driver in selecting and automatically switching the gears inside the Powershift range.

From fully automatic shifts to customizable driving modes.

The RCshift transmission can shift fully automatically without operating the clutch pedal and includes always the MaxCom joystick. Five robotized gears and six Powershift stages provide 30 speeds when moving forward and 15 in reverse. With the creeper, the amount increases to 54 + 27 gears. The RCshift transmission offers three driving modes:
- Manual: The driver selects the range gears and Powershift stages manually
- Semi-Auto: The driver selects the range gears and the system automatically selects the Powershift stages
 - Auto: The system automatically selects the range gears and Powershift stages

A new way of shifting.

Based on a high-efficiency full Powershift concept, the RVshift transmission has 20 forward and 16 reverse gears, all selectable without using the clutch pedal or interrupting torque delivery.
The 3-way joystick controller of the RVshift is placed on the multifunction armrest, mounted on the driver seat. When pushed forward, the transmission performs an upshift; pulled backwards, a downshift is performed. Conveniently, the current speed can easily be stored and enabled with a simple push of the RVshift controller to the left.

For a quick switch between fast transport application and fieldwork, the RVshift transmission features two driving modes (Field and Transport). With a simple push of a button close to the RVshift controller, it is possible to switch from one mode to the other without shifting through all the gears. The modes are pre-programmed from the factory but are easily adjustable according to individual needs.
Thanks to the Automatic Powershift function (APS), the driver is hugely assisted during transport or fieldwork. After activation via the APS button, the system shifts according to the load. Additionally, the RVshift transmission features the Stop&Go system, which includes a Stop&Hold function that keeps the tractor stopped until the accelerator gets pressed again. When very low working speeds are necessary, the RVshift transmission offers a creeper mode with infinitely variable speeds ranging from 20 m/h to 5 kph.

Seamless Power, Unrivaled Performance.

The TTV transmission delivers uniform and seamlessly smooth power in all conditions without jolting and stands for high efficiency, low fuel consumption and extreme tractive power. It combines mechanical strength with weight-saving solutions used for moving parts in particular, which minimise inertia and allow the tractor to attain extremely high levels of efficiency. All of this translates to a substantial increase in effectively transmitted torque to the wheels and a distinct improvement in draft capacity. The TTV transmission features four driving modes: Auto, Advanced Auto, PTO and Manual, to offer the ideal solution for any task. A handy dial lets the operator select between ECO mode, which minimises fuel consumption, and Power mode, which maximises tractor performance.
The TTV transmissions have the ability to travel at high road speeds while the engine runs quietly at low speeds. All versions come with the PowerZero function as standard, which maximizes safety and comfort even on steep gradients. The function holds the vehicle securely in a stationary position without requiring the operator to use the brake or clutch pedal.

Everything you need.

The entry-level MaxiVision cab comes with mechanical rear controls and is available for Powershift, RCshift and RVshift transmission variants. It offers all the functions the driver expects from DEUTZ-FAHR, with a mixture of simplicity and user-friendliness. All of the controls feature a comfortable and ergonomic layout and, in keeping with the DEUTZ-FAHR tradition, adopt the colour coding scheme so that even new drivers can quickly find their way around.

In order to offer farmers and contractors exactly what they need, DEUTZ-FAHR has further developed its MaxiVision cab and added a new variant that allows the driver to work smarter and faster with more comfort and ergonomics. MaxiVision+ is available for all transmission variants and includes the newly developed mixed rear hydraulic configuration, which comprises two mechanical and two electro-hydraulic spool valves. While the mechanical control valves are easy to operate, the electronic ones are extremely convenient, especially for repetitive work processes.
