Designed for optimal crop pick up.

The cam-track pick-up unit is designed to match the full capacity of the machine. The 230 cm wide pick-up delivers maximum ground adaption by its pendulum capabilities for optimal crop intake. The machine is capable of working in all swaths and will not let you down, even in the harshest conditions.

To better meet your operation's specific needs, there are two intake options available: OptiFeed - the non cutting version - or OptiCut - the cutting version.

All DEUTZ-FAHR FixMaster balers, cutting or non-cutting versions, are equipped with the patented* Integral Rotor Technology. The simple, maintenance free, short distance intake system guarantees an enormous throughput capacity at all times regardless of the various (crop) conditions.

    Optimized bale shape and density

When it comes to bale formation, there are two systems working to obtain the best possible outcome.

    PowerTrack
The PowerTrack rollers have symmetrical profiles which generate exceptionally high density and reliable bale rotation in all crop conditions. All rollers are made of 3,2 mm thick high-strength steel which are roll-formed and laser-welded on one side for optimal durability. Each roller is individually removable, to facilitate regular maintenance and repairs.

    Fast tailgate detection
A highly accurate tailgate sensor monitors the bale growth as from 80% to allow the driver to optimize the bale shape and density. The tailgate of FM 330/335 opens and closes in up to 4,5 seconds for maximum output, thanks to its stable design with torsion pipes.

Want to combine bailing and wrapping? The FM BalePack is solution for you.

    Different binding solutions

DEUTZ-FAHR FixMaster fixed chamber balers can be equipped with twine or net binding systems, or a combination of both. The FM 335 is also available with film binding. Binding plays a crucial part in the bailing process for transporting, storage and forage quality.

The DEUTZ-FAHR machines which are equipped with the patented* film binding use regular 750 mm film rolls. Use of this film type eliminates the need for special wide film, which helps ease your inventory management. It also makes it easier when changing the film rolls as the weight is less (approx. 27 kg). An important benefit of using regular film is the ability to use a much higher prestretch ratio compared to conventional wide film binding systems. This reduces the film costs when using film binding by 37% and reduces the frequency of changing the film rolls by yet another 30%.

    Always in control

The DEUTZ-FAHR FM series controlled by the AT 10 control box provide clear and easy to read information.

The DEUTZ-FAHR FM 335 and FM 335 BP offer additional comfort with ISOBUS compatibility. This means the intuitive user interface can be displayed on all CCI terminals. Choose from the CCI 800 or CCI 1200. Alternatively, the VT 30 monitor can be used with tractors that are not ISOBUS compatible. All balers offer clear operator settings, such as amount of net layers and automatic/manual binding start.

    Tailored crop pick up options.

All VariMaster models feature a cam-track pick-up unit. The design of this 230 cm cam-track pick-up unit means that even the thickest, tallest windrows are gathered effectively and quickly. The new OptiFlow open throat models are equipped with an unrestricted 210 cm wide intake unit. The driven bottom and top roller combination brings maximum thrust to the crop flow for full capacity.

To better meet your operation's specific needs, there are two intake options available: OptiFlow - the non cutting version - or OptiCut - the cutting version.

All VM balers, except balers with Direct Feed, are equipped with the patented* Integral Rotor Technology. The simple, maintenance free, short distance intake system ensures even feeding regardless of the various (crop) conditions. All Integral Rotor units are provided with tines made out of Hardox wear plates. The short distance between rotor and pick-up yields an outstanding crop flow. This force-fed intake makes higher forward speeds possible for outstanding productivity and reduced crop damage.

    Perfect bale shape and density

The PROGRESSIVE DENSITY system has proven its value on all DEUTZ-FAHR VM balers. The system increases tension as the bale grows providing a firm bale with a tough outer shell. As the bale grows within the bale chamber, the belt tensioning arm is subjected to steadily increasing resistance from two hydraulic cylinders and a spring tensioner. So as the diameter increases, the bale's density does too. The result is a very firm bale with a moderate core – not too soft, not too hard. With a tougher outer layer, straw bales will be more tolerant to bad weather conditions, while silage bales will maintain their shape for improved stacking and easier handling.

The bale chamber on the VM 700 series exists of 3 bale chamber rollers and 5 belts. The belts and rollers in the bale chamber provide fast, consistent core formation. In this pre-chamber, moderate or soft-cores can be chosen to meet the need of any operation.

The VM 1000 series balers provide densities of up to 140 kg/m3 in straw thanks to the patented* i-DENSE system. This intelligent twin-tension arm system ensures an optimal tension distribution. The front tension arm creates the optimal starting chamber and bale form in all circumstances. The rear tension arm creates a high belt tension for rock-hard bales. Thanks to the unique mix of the i-DENSE system and the proven 4 belt + 3 roller design of the bale chamber, the VM 1000 series balers offers fast, secure and consistent bale formation in any crop condition, even in silage.

Extreme durability of components, minimum downtime for maximum baling time. Thanks to the heavy-duty design of the VM 1000 series, these balers provide you the robustness and reliability you need. 4 belts ensure optimal track and bale formation. Wear resistant and oversize chains are oiled with an automatic continuous chain oiling system. The rotor tines are made out of Hardox® wear plates.

The DEUTZ-FAHR machines which are equipped with the patented* film binding use regular 750 mm film rolls.
